A wave of federal policy changes disrupted the United States labor market in 2025. Women experienced some of the steepest and most targeted losses, with Black women being disproportionately affected according to the Institute for Women's Policy Research and Bureau of Labor Statistics data. This research explores the individual impact of federal and corporate policy changes starting in January of 2025. We intend to examine what women are doing to rebuild careers and income during that highly disruptive year.
Participation in this study is voluntary. Your responses are confidential, and the results will only be reported in aggregate data. Your responses will provide understanding on the types of resources used by women to navigate their new landscape. We hope to identify the impact, the strategies, and behaviors women used or are using to rejoin the workforce.
